Sat, June 19, 10am: Natural Pest Control with Beni-Bugs.
Brian Spencer of Applied Bionomics will discuss common pest problems such as aphids, spider mites and white fly and how to use beneficial insects to control them.

Vertical Succulent Garden Workshop.
Create a succulent garden in a wooden box that can be hung on a wall or fence. Our own Faye Ford will lead a hands-on workshop where you will create your own unique piece of living garden art. Cost: $50.00 which includes all materials and plants needed.
Sat, June 26, 10am: Designing a Cut Flower Garden.
With Ingrid Wood. A good cut flower garden will always have something in bloom. Get some tips from Ingrid on how to plan and plant for good succession of bloom.
Sat, July 10, 10am: How to Use Grasses in the Garden.
Ornamental grasses can add a whole new dimension to the landscape when used as mass plantings, focal points, edging, groundcover, accents and in containers. Local garden designer Patty Brown will explain how to create special effects in the garden using a variety of grasses.
Sat, July 17, 10am: Water Conservation in the Landscape: Tips and Tricks.
Join Reuben Butterfield, owner of RHo Solutions in Victoria BC, for a one hour presentation on water conservation in the landscape. Reuben will go over a wide array of topics to assist with reducing water consumption for lawns and gardens ranging from proper irrigation scheduling to basic soil management. Also included will be a brief look at some trends in the landscape industry as professionals and homeowners alike move into an era of tighter water restrictions and increasing water costs.
